International Education

With the recent notification of the UGC (IoE Deemed to be Universities) (Amendments) Regulation 2021, it is clear that there is now an enabling policy to allow our higher educational institutions categorised as Institution of Eminence to explore expansion beyond India.

My brief comment soon after coming across the news about this notification is can be found here https://futurevolve.com/articles/220-internationalization-of-higher-education-ioes-can-now-set-up-campuses-abroad

While there is going to be greater degree of role for technology enabled and powered teaching, learning, administration, and engagement within higher educational institutions, this may not entirely come at the expense of physical spaces of teaching and learning.

A comment on the impact of higher education centered policies especially in the context of India’s Institutions of Eminence (IOEs) now being granted further enabling policy to internationalize and expand beyond India.
